Thanks for that exposition on getting an iso working.

With that in hand, people who are having a dependency issue (with Linux <g>), can use the apt, apt-get and dpkg tools to identify packages to remove, install, upgrade, or reinstall (which is more “forceful” from plain install), or try dpkg itself to fix things that apt doesn’t seem able to.

And as Xunzi_23 pointed out, apt’s database of packages can be removed to force its fresh recreation, hopefully curing some issues.
