I’m in favor of doing that. One browser worth “fixing” at least occasionally is LibreWolf. https://librewolf.net/installation/debian/ describes how to set up the repository using extrepo. My suggestion for the Package Installer with LibreWolf would be to initiate the procedure described on this page, and then from that point a normal system update would continue to update LibreWolf until something else changes.

I don’t know if it’s worth packaging or installing, but one of the lightest full function Web browsers, believe it or not, is the Ungoogled Chromium browser. It’s based on the code in Chromium, but it removes all of the Google callbacks and does not have any pre-installed plugins, so it’s the leanest, fastest 64-bit Web Browser available. Just so that anyone interested can find it, the location is https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium-portablelinux – at the present time 143.0.7499.169-1 is current; that should be changing very soon. I generally use the AppImage, download it, chmod +x to make it executable, then rename it to a short, simple name for my own purposes and store it in a private, personal directory. So because of that, it takes a modest amount of work to set up, but since I’ve done it so many times and have links to the site, it takes minutes to do all of the download, prep, updating, and moving to my desired location.

Something for the do it yourself individuals to consider, but probably not for the uninitiated beginner unless they are quick learners willing to use commands to configure their systems.
