Reply To: Problem using AppImage to make a live USB image

Thanks for the help so far, some of that is way over my head.

I only have the one USB stick, I have tried it so far on two different Linux Mint computers and both fail at the same point.

I can write the .iso to it with Balena Etcher but that is read only. I want it to be writeable, so I can update and test the graphics card driver amongst other things before committing to a full install to the HDD on my target machine.

Can you in more simple terms show how I can boot my target machine from the read only USB and them make it writeable please?
