Asunder is nice if you’d rather have a GUI.
Or stick with abcde if CLI is better.
Beyond that, I don’t think it really matters, since they’re using the same external libs to do the actual work. cdparanoia to rip the CD, libFLAC to encode, CDDB to auto-fetch tags.
Personally, I’m rarely satisfied with the automatic tagging from CDDB and need to fix things up myself before ripping, so Asunder is what I use (or used to use, I haven’t actually ripped a CD in years).
If you’re ripping a whole lot of discs at once, though, CLI will definitely be faster. I guess even if you have to go back later and edit the tags and it would probably still be faster.
