Still happens, no repo changes were made, the issue just hit me after updating on a
fresh full live USB setup.
Sound (with alsa) is now working fine after setting correct device using control center
tool but no vol icon, no keyboard controll is really off putting for new users.
A week or so ago I thought it was a fluke, turning pipewire on and off a couple
of times made the icon reappear.
Please, nobody tell me pipewire wireplumber is a big improvement, if it worked reliably
I would not care, problem is it is a cause of many troubles and help requests on user
devices.
