Free Palestine from militants of all kind?
Does it include or exclude Hamas?
Is there a line (an illegitimate deed) when a freedom fighter stops being a freedom fighter and becomes something else (a pawn/mercenary/monster)?
Are there any innocents in freedom fight?
Is this a start of “flagging” the main forum page?
How about:
– Ukraine’s (and to a certain degree Russian opposition) conflict against Russia Federation not-dissolved USSR; conflict of flags and national self-determination (something several European states had profound experience after dissolution of Habsburg monarchy).
– Tibet vs. China.
– Violation of promises to Hong Kong after its return to China.
– I am sure there’s something going on in Africa (probably Sudan but I am not familiar with problems in that region).
One may not limit themselves to current news and one can venture into recent past as well:
– Victims of past proxy conflicts between super-powers (you know, the east vs. the west).
– Victims of any religion-militants/fundamentalists, including but not limited to militant Islamists (a teacher was killed in France recently), fundamentalist Christians (including but not limited aboriginals in Australia, Native Americans etc.), … .
If using the data from Freedom in the World, where does one draw a threshold? (Should one consider these data unbiased? I am pretty sure the people at the positions of power in the Non-Free/No-Freedom countries would object.)
@abc-nix: Flags often hide fact that we all are people sharing the same predicament (basic needs and inevitable death of the body) no matter the color, size, shape …
EDIT: How about “Free Palestine and at the same time give safe space to Jews where they can protect themselves from pogroms (which they experienced in the past to various degrees).”
