Some good advice from sybok but disagree on the desaster compressed air.
Occasional compressed air-flow (can be bought in a can-spray) cleaning of the PC from dust is highly advised to minimise risk of increased heating.
Please dont, I have seen far too many laptops where over time a lot dust and lint had been blown in to the device or jammed between the cooler heat
exchange fins. Fans cabn get damaged too as the can easily be driven in to overspeed condition.
A soft antistatic brush and vacuum cleaner are the basic safe tools. older notebooks are best opened as often suffering from dried up cooling paste
or pads which is serious. Please always us a non conductive compound as a replacement, seen too many devices damaged by other kinds.
