I can understand that, and now I also understand why we are temporarily warmer than you are.
I was also reading about my former home state of Michigan, where SEVERAL communities are
having even warmer weather than we are – that is – in between some pretty serious storms
that some communities have had recently. There have been downpours of large amounts of
rain in some places, causing flooding. The community where I grew up had a tornado that
went through the small, four square mile region of the little city called Fraser, MI, and
it tore roofs off a few places from what I understand.
My sister, who lives in suburban Cincinnati, Ohio in a community called Anderson Township,
home of the Kroger food chain stores, had some rain and wind damage again recently.
Back last year when we had Hurricane Helene come through our area, I thought it tapered off,
but it caused some damage in her yard last year, so the communities along the Ohio River
near Cincinnati have been getting crazy weather too.
My oldest sister has homes in Arizona, northeast of Phoenix, and in Michigan, in the Grand
Traverse Bay region near Traverse City. She recently moved from another beautiful community
to where she is in order to get a nice small home that’s on a single story, since she’s
gradually aging and doesn’t want to deal with a lot of stairs any more.
The Michigan area where she moved is another of those areas getting record high temperatures
that are matching or exceeding what we’re getting here, so if she came from Arizona back to
Michigan to “cool off”, I’m not sure how much “cooling” is taking place! Hopefully, like in
Arizona they have both heating and cooling systems that work well!
My antiX systems all seem to be humming along correctly now, particularly on my newest
Thinkpad T14, though the last time I pulled out the HP it was running very nicely too.
Even that chunky Dell, though the keyboard is a bit stiff, runs really well too,
particularly considering its age.
