@rokytnji I keep trying to remember each time that I update or reinstall the init-diversity test release to do the following:

alias u='sudo mv /sbin/runit /sbin/runit.bak;\
sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get dist-upgrade;\
sudo update-grub;sudo apt-get autoremove;\
sudo mv /sbin/runit.bak /sbin/runit'then I can simply type in u, and it’ll rename the /sbin location of runit, do the upgrade, update-grub, autoremove any old packages, then rename the runit back; this was recommended at one time and I’ve kept it.
The other day I thought I had it in place but didn’t reset this alias to the custom “init-diversity” work around fix and connman broke with runit. So I got on one of the init’s that worked, and did my inst –reinstall dbus connman.
inst is another alias I use, it has a $@ argument, allowing me to list one or more packages that I want to install.
Once I got dbus and connman back, I went to my runit instance and it worked again, so I tried the others and they’re still working, so between the @ProwlerGr recommendation to do this and the @anticapitalista fix, this stuff works once again.
