    I find that what’s always missing when people talk about this stuff is how common any of it is.

    I wouldn’t be very concerned about a medical virus or disease just because it exists without at least some data about the prevalence, rates of infection, or risk factors, so I don’t see why computer viruses or malware should be any different. How likely am I to see this?

    Yet I’ve often tried to find that kind of information and just can’t seem to turn anything up. So I feel like all I can really rely on is my own experience and maybe the first-hand experience of others. Anything else starts to feel like paranoia.
