    hallo hughtmc* please excuse *, you might be upset by spelling if I continued :-).

    I am using the 6.6.62 kernel because latest for my every day usage sid setup did not play
    so well with my hardware which is over 12 years old but still fast enough.

    sid/linux-image-6.12.33+deb13-amd64 is presently the latest kernel I see,
    there have been some fixes I may or may not add that version to test.

    Regarding the security question, for general usage an LTS kernel is probably the best option.
    It gets fixes for critical security issues and is stable plus well tested.
