Phase 2: BIOS Configuration
After restart I entered BIOS settings:
1– changed Boot Mode from BOTH(Legacy and UEFI) to UEFI Only ✅
2– Secure Boot was already set to Disabled ✅
3– changed CSM Support to Disabled ✅
I couldn’t find Fast Boot option . the nearest thing was Boot Mode . had two options : Quick mode , and Diagnostic .
I set to Diagnostic . but after successfully rebooting and making sure everything works without errors , I entered bios setting and set it to Quick mode again .
after doing above steps , The initial Splash screen of my thinkpad completely changed .
now it has higher resolution , and it is more modern .
I booted antiX from usb .
antiX boot menu and texts shown during antiX boot process now have higher quality and visually appealing .
I was able to boot from usb and came back here .
the next step is installing windowz . I am ashamed of this step , but this is inevitable . we have family members that can’t and don’t want to use linux .
So I have to setup a dual boot
