    Good experiment duplicating the external experience. Experiments are always good. Of course the last paragraph is going to ruffle some well-worn feathers. 🙂

    I can’t speak for others, but what that last paragraph is describing is corporate “lock-in” setting up de-facto monopolistic “standards”. We’ve all been down this road/clash since the early 70’s. So the essential difference goes beyond just system-d. Yawn, we all know this though. I suppose you could follow up with Devuan, but now you still have the problem of elogind. Kind of a “half way” viewpoint. 🙂 Maybe that’s changed, I don’t keep up with that.

    And for me, the installer (at least calamares) does not allow for easy use of the F2FS filesystem, whereas antiX does. That’s a HUGE difference for me since I use it.

    But good experiment, I was interested to follow your progress.
