It seems I could also communicate with you in my native language German. However, I’ll stay to English so that non-German speakers can follow the thread.

First of all, thank you very much for the detailed answer and your patience with my request.
My Windows PC, which I want to access, has been operating as a small “server” for many years. The shared folders are set up and working. I actually just wanted to know if Connectshares requires any additional action on the Windows PC – but apparently not.

I used the Shared Folders tool. It looks like this:

Local Host Name  = antixdell
Local IP Address = 192.168.1.243 on eth0
Local IP Address = 192.168.1.244 on wlan0

Scanning from 192.168.1.244 on wlan0
Samba/Windows Shares

However, no shared folders are found in the antiX Control Center…

I’m still unclear about what I need to enter in SHARESUSER.
For Windows, I only know my username and password, as well as the folder names of the shared folders.
