Today I’m using the Doom Emacs editor on a Friday afternoon.
Yesterday I changed my setup so that

1) I start an Emacs daemon from my .bashrc each time I execute
that script and
2) I altered the e alias to start up the emacclient.

This results in a slightly slower shell initiation and some
extra messages when I run .bashrc, but the emacs startup is
almost immediate.
