It will never be finished in time and make translators quit.

I could have double that and even then I will dedicate many hours, many days or weeks until I can review and translate each of the sentences in the best possible way into my language “pt_BR”.

Because you fail to understand the importance of this feature (program) for non-English-speaking users, you write this kind of nonsense. Thanks to the “antix23-desktop-files” feature, antiX Linux menus will remain translated even after updating the programs. This functionality doesn’t exist in any other GNU/Linux distribution I know of.

Don’t come here on the antiX forum and talk to me about the idiotic text model adopted by MX.

It was the same idiotic model that forced me to abandon the translation of MX Linux.

The idiotic text model adopted by MX Linux limits texts to a very small space available in the “Applications Finder” program (see image). This means that sentences must be few words, regardless of whether the text will be understood by end users. The idiotic text model also doesn’t care that other languages are not equal in structure and length compared to English. Clearly, an administrator on the MX Linux forum disregarded me and my volunteer work as a translator for MX Linux. I don’t tolerate this kind of situation. Who does he think he is to get rid of me?! If the administrator of the MX Linux forum or any GNU/Linux program doesn’t respect me personally and isn’t capable of respecting my language and culture, then the operating system or program doesn’t deserve my volunteer work as a translator. Furthermore, some Brazilian MX Linux users have told me that my translations for MX Linux aren’t being used. And that MX Linux programs/menus are receiving poorly executed and incomprehensible automatic translations. In other words, MX Linux administrators don’t use my translations and prefer the poorly executed and incomprehensible automatic translations provided by automatic translators.

Robin, then we’ll need to ask the anti-capitalist to talk to the MX Linux administrators to evaluate the possibility of disabling the artificial intelligence, which automatically fills in sentences without asking the volunteer translator whether or not to perform the action.

Ask Marcelo for this if you want more details.

For example, the acronym “OK” can be translated into Portuguese in different ways, including “Tudo bem,” “Eu aceite,” “Eu acordo,” “Continuar,” “Estou informativo bem,” “Sim,” etc. Since “OK” will be used at different times, in different windows, and for different responses, I can’t translate “OK” because the program’s developer doesn’t allow me to adapt the texts in the translation to make correct sense in my language. This is just one example, but I could cite hundreds of others. If you’re going to do a poor job, then don’t count on me. There are already plenty of people on planet Earth who are doing their jobs poorly.

Ask Marcelo for this if you want more details.
