I’ve actually had better success with Sid than I have with creating a Trixie build.
I tried Trixie and it was working for a while but we lack a complete build at this point so if I’m mixing in Debian packages I have had better success with Sid so far.
Just for some support of your statement I feel your pain in trying to create a Trixie antiX at this point. From my experience I have a solid Trixie version of antiX only because I started early on, when Trixie was still Testing, before flipping to stable.
My test attempt of converting antiX to Trixie version these days proved to be a mess, although not mixing antiX vs. Debian versions. I gave up on this excercise and just relying on my original and solid build of Trixie antiX.
I came to appreciate how anticapitalista does this. He must have some methodology for building major antiX releases avoiding the difficulty you are pointing out…
