Education is certainly extremely important which is why repressive regimes and many so-called democracies keep their populations uneducated.
Trump and the Far-Right in Europe thrive on the fact that people are kept ignorant of what is really happening. It’s frightening how thick some people in power really are. The Left has always aimed to do the opposite ie encourage critical thinking, compassion and solidarity to all.
However, who are the educators and how will people get educated in the ‘right’ way when we are now living in a very Orwellian dystopia?
Capitalist society has never been a level-playing field, though there were some more freedoms (mostly social) that existed in the past, which all governments are now eroding. The rich and powerful have always had privileges that keep their interpretation of society at the forefront.
Talking does not actually change the world even though it is, of course, necessary. Action is needed (and that is another topic).
Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
