Right you are! I inserted my TP-Link dongle and immediately WiFi became available, even on the live system,
so thanks to your experiment this image is NOT a complete dead end; glad I kept it around.
I doubt that I’ll install this on my main system, but I have multiple other systems, and I may even
acquire another Windows 10 cast off laptop from a neighbor; if I do, that’ll be a good one to put
this PCLinuxOS installed on it. If the performance isn’t good, then I’ll put antiX on it, possibly
the last snapshot that @abc-nix made, the November snapshot. That one worked well on my old
Thinkpad X201 so that’s a good candidate.
