It seems to me like @robin’s “strange release file issue”.
No, that should not be related, since this here is expected behaviour. The downloaded file resides in ‘/home/demo/desktop-menu-antix_0.3.2_all.deb’, which is not a folder to which has the _apt user access to by default, for good reason.
Windows is like a submarine. Open a window and serious problems will start.
