    One possibility is to boot it with a different kernel. antiX ships with 2 kernels installed. I’m not sure which you booted with, but you could try booting with the other one.

    The other likely possibility is that its getting an error or timing out trying something during the boot. In a terminal run:
    sudo dmesg

    You can scroll through it and look for errors or things that take a long time. In Roxterm Ctrl+Shift+PgUp and Ctrl+Shift+PgDn should allow you to page through it.
