Most of my computers used to have nVidia graphics, but their driver stuff for Linux has been a huge negative. Every time I turn around more of them no longer work. I’ll never buy another nVidia card or computer that includes one because of that.
What are the alternatives? Intel graphics? Some of the other alternatives are maintenance nightmares.
Since the nVidia’s started losing support, and even my most ancient, pre 2000 Pentium II and III machines still worked with their original AMD Readeon’s, so given that, I tried and have since beenn buying machines with AMD CPU’s and GPU’s. Now that I’m retired and doing technical, chart based trading for my retirement, my day to day machines need to have very fast CPU’s with large screens and hi resolution graphics to do the job. I have two of those running, one my fast quad core I7 Dell w/nVidia from 2016 running antiX with 2 screens, and a newer, double the speed, AMD running Devuan also with 2 screens but also able to simulcast over to the big screen TV when needed.
Anyway, I have had zero problems running the AMD machines. Hope that helps.
PS: If I didn’t need the heavy duty graphics for my charts, Intel graphics would probably be good enough.
