    You could post the ‘/var/log/apt/history.log’ file (as an attachment) OR try to identify possible cause of the problem – e.g. recent update in ACPI etc.

    Such an upgrade could be reverted by ‘apt install <package>==<version>’ (not sure, there may be a single ‘=’ instead of a double one) and repeat the ‘apt-mark hold’ workaround for that.
