incus is an alternative for proxmox, doesn’t depend on systemd, available in debian repos. (iirc, even includes a runscript in debian package).
Hmmm… nice share, I had never heard of incus.
Something to explore.
On another note, @andyprough a minor update to sysvinit-init-diversity prerm script (allowing it to be removed when sysvinit-core is installed & booted), shouldn’t have any impact on a running system.
