As expected, I got around to building & testing elogind-init-diversity on MX23 & it works like a charm.
Usual gotchas:
– systemd-sysv needs to be installed as a starting point
– systemd-shim dependencies need to be purged (sudo apt autoremove –purge) – cgmanager seams to cause interference
– lightdm init script seems to cause issues (restoring the dpkg-dist version fixes this)
I have attached the init-diversity packages to use if you want to test for yourself (elogind was freshly compiled in bookworm, lib-sysvinit-init was the bookworm version name for sysvinit-init-diversity)
