I am last three years use Devuan Daedulus(Sid) at dual boot with no any problems.
Why Sid? because I want have fresh software.
If it worked for three years, does it still work?
Stable and lean, antiX is the way to go. Cutting edge, maybe siduction, Devuan Daedulus Sid, or something like Cachy OS; all cutting edge systems that generally work.
Another thought, if you have a way to set up both is to keep the Devuan system, try to install antiX Sid in a parallel partition and compare them. Maybe copying whatever kernel configuration you have on the Devuan system to the antiX Sid system may solve the problem if it’s a missing driver that a kernel provides. I’ve done this successfully before – the last time I did it was with antiX 22, which did not offer a kernel that supported my hardware, so I retrofitted drivers and kernels from another system and got it working.
If you have the ability, this CAN be fixed even if it’s not working correctly; you just have to have a way to copy the correct working components to replace whatever is not working. If you do not have the ability, maybe the next release will work better; otherwise if not, then another system that works is the answer.
Most distributions over the years have worked on my hardware. antiX is the only distribution I’ve ever bothered to get working when it didn’t include the right modules, but I was able to get it figured out.
