MD5 should no longer be used, it’s not
entirely secure. Use SHA256 instead. Says
fehlix, MX. So I (only) use SHA256, even
in my snapshots = is that right? Thanks!!

I downloaded MX 25 ‘minimal’ and
experimented with it in the HOST. The PC is
from 2011, x64 bit, EFI doesn’t work very
well. Linux image 6.12 from Debian worked

very poorly here, of course. Virtualbox

7.2.2. did NOT work at all. Of course,
that’s no surprise. According to my
research, Oracle Virtualbox should only
be fully compatible with Debian kernel
6.16 and Virtualbox 7.2.6.
