    Can I find old .deb of apps instead? For any other apps that I may use in the future?

    Prtoblem there is that old debs will depend on older libs so you would have to use
    an older distribution that offers the correct versions.

    Sometimes you will find apps that work over a couple of versions but even then they
    will often misbehave.

    For portable, appimage, fatpacks and crap snap same apples.
    In absolute terms, to be fully portable run anywhere applications must bring their own
    operating system along with them and will still not run on all hardware.

    In some use cases I have recommended and used windoze 7 on a device with no internet
    connection, that might ease your problem..
