are you getting any messages indicating some error about missing firmware?
Yes, I don’t get any hint in dmesg when running antiX 25beta1 live, that the early (nor the late, but that is not what antiX uses) firmware/microcode update has been executed.
Unfortunately debian has packaged the CPU firmware in a way, grouping families without providing a list what actually CPUs are covered and which not, which renders it impossible for me to find out whether the needed firmware for the specific CPU is even present in one of the files in /lib/firmware/amd delivered by the preinstalled package amd64-microcode. Ideas how to find out? The changelog provides pretty indifferent messages, scattered across endless entry listings, and seems to be incomplete. So no idea how to check whether there even exists a firmware/microcode for this device. Suggestions?
And: Is the initrd file in the beta1 already prepended by the firmware/microcode binaries already, or will this come later only? (This would also explain why no microcode update can be observed here)
