    I’m wondering if that weird behavior where running updates from another init would mess up runit (and maybe sysVinit) too, is back with Beta 2? My installed runit is junked, and the sysVinit instance isn’t right either, but dinit, s6-rc and s6-66 are generally working. All of the init varieties worked beautifully when I was running live and at first they were working installed; that is, until I ran an update, then things went sideways. Though my system is all configured now, I may have to “start over” again. Thoughts? Other than an update, I have no idea what else happened. The tools I added are just editors and browsers, and they’ve never impacted any of the 5-6 distros I typically install side by side. In fact all of the others, including antiX 23.2 Full Runit and MX Linux 25 are all working fine.

    I’m on Beta 2, but I’m running with s6-rc at the moment.
