    Greetings@Wallon,
    I removed the cups timeout line, ensured cups was still running
    Downloaded the driver install script from brother jp, unpacked it.

    did sudo to su in roxterm
    Copied the Brother install script in to the terminal, ran it to install needed drivers.

    Test print was fine.

    Error for scan key, apt --fix-broken install
    was suggested.

    Missing depend “sane” I installed it.
    went to roxterm, entered
    $ brscan-skey to start the tool

    Pressed scan on MFC Device then scan to file then start.
    Scan was made and saved in to my home directory

    I can not be sure if all devices will work correctly as no other models available to test.
    please give feedback as you have a newer MFC..
