    Hi Brian, if not set executable no fun :-).
    Expanded a little in case beginners take a read.

    Being both lazy and often with non technical persons I usually right
    click and use the make executable menu point. At least on ICEWM that
    works fine.

    In unpacked UngoogledChromium chrome-wrapper must be made executable.

    In other cases usualy the application binary.

    Even when I use an appimage I like to check inside the package, if
    anything looks odd I download again and compare. When provided I
    ALWAYS use checksums.

    Lazy way with rox, type in sha256 sum then drag and drop the appimage
    or applicatin in to the terminal the path will be automagically added,
    press Enter to get the checksum calculated and displayed.
