I’ve seen this too; I’m not certain what’s causing it; the Live USB Maker has worked great in the past.
Last time I used it, I snagged it from MX Linux. That’s ironic, because it was antiX where it was created, NOT MX Linux.Maybe somebody can chime in and explain what might be wrong and how to correct it; though I’ve used it countless times, I’m better at BREAKING things than fixing them, so we both need help!
I have an update:
I just used a commodity USB, and I THINK the difference might be that it does not utilize the very newest USB 3.2 or some super new standard; I think the device I’m using right now is USB 2.0 or at the newest, 3.0; Live USB Maker WORKS with it, so check your media; the other possibility is that the media is bad; I found one drive that’s now bad; maybe that’s what happened in your case.So Live USB Maker is NOT broken; I’m using it right now and it works.
I’m WRONG about that too. My test USB is a USB 3.2+, has a two-ended connection – stock USB and USB C connectors, one on each end. It’s pretty much current gen, unless there’s something even newer out there. Bottom line is that USB 2 works, USB 3 works; in short Live USB Maker does not care as long as it’s a device it’ll recognize; if it’s a bad device it won’t be recognized, that’s what’s going on. I discovered one bad USB, the rest of my units seem to work fine.
