Switching between wm makes it practically unusable. Besides the sound issue I mentioned earlier, celluloid also breaks and will not play video, mic is not detected anymore, programs take so long to load that it seems like the computer isn’t responding. Have to reboot to get it back in working order.
I think it was an issue with my sound card. I switched from the NVIDIA GPU audio to the onboard audio. Now I can switch wm and celluloid still works, mic is detected, control centre will still open etc. Still on the default init that says Init in Conky.
