    For me, zzzFM is too difficult…

    my system’s bottom horizontal bar icon just says File Manager (the default one),

    anyway,
    I managed to find how to arrange my files by descending chronological order:
    when I open the File Manager, there is a top horizontal menu,
    view
    panel 1 view
    sort
    modified
    descending

    problem solved

    using only various GNU/Linux distros, GhostBSD and Haiku
    [perpetual antiX newbie]
