The problems I pointed out detract from antiX in the eyes of non-English speakers, and this should be taken into consideration before the release of each new official ISO. Because it’s difficult for me to tell people to install antiX 26, which has fewer translated menus than antiX 23.2.
@MarceloCripe: I recommend that while antiX 26 is, for the most part, an excellent work, as both @Robin and @anticapitalista commented during an exchange just a few days ago, this could have been antiX 27, or worse, antiX 29 if we continued to oscillate back and forth on what, in the long run, are minor matters.
With respect to your issues, I realize that people who never natively write or speak in any dialect of “English” are NOT best served immediately by this release for reasons already discussed. For that reason, and ALSO because we still have fairly decent “life” remaining in antiX 23.2, for pt_br I continue to recommend antiX 23.2. In your case, since you are fairly astute at determining when localization and internationalization is COMPLETE for your dialect of Portuguese, I recommend that you keep an eye out for the translations getting actually activated in various package updates. Once that is completed, I am confident that antiX 26 will be excellent for everyone. In the meantime, whether it takes an antiX 26.1 to get there or if it’s finished in a reasonably short time, then others can enjoy this very good software fully translated!
