When using the old kernel, everything works fine
But when booted with the new kernel, an error happens“Gave up waiting for root file system device. Common problems:
– Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)
– Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
– Missing modules (cat /proc/modules: is /dev)

Use the old kernel if it works.
Maybe your hardware is too old for a new kernel.
