Today, because of the Oracle VirtualBox,
I installed MX-Linux 23.6 on the hard disk
instead of antiX 26 again, felt after years.
Here you can still bring the VM there normally.
But that’s not what this thread is about,
of course…
So what it’s all about: I discovered that in
this distri version, at some point right at the
beginning, I removed the packages ‘cron’, and
its dependency ‘cron-daemon’, even with purge*.
And it is still running perfectly, safely; it’s
my safest system.
I do this now, because my approach allows it,
as well. However, only with ‘remove’.
Opinions on this??
