BTW, I had to go into man vifm to remember how to GET OUT! ZQ and ZZ, like vi, are ways out. ZQ is a vi command to :quit! and ZZ is equivalent to :wq! In the file manager both are equivalent to EXIT.
I use :wq to exit, but hardly ever. My workflow is to run it, then CTRL-Z to suspend, do some work in the shell, then “fg” to go back into vifm. I might mention shell job control at some point . . . 😉
I have really benefitted fron being able to explore the file system at speed as part of learning how antiX works, althought permissions mean it is mostly read-only for that. Really nice for dealing with ~, ~/.config ~/.local & so on, and for dev of course.
