To be clear I am only expressing my personal view here as an antiX user & contributor, only @anticapitalista represents official antiX
I can only kindly say the following to users complaining about the presence of additional inits:
You shouldn’t confuse your own personal preferences with other users needs.
Alternative inits have been discussed & requested numerous times in the past from users, this is why some of us care & put in the work to have them implemented.
If you find a specific defect that technically is attributed to the multi-init set-up (meaning issue wouldn’t be present while booted to your init of choice if your system had a just a single init) please report it.
Questioning the multi-init system, without a real technical issue just because you have no use for it or don’t understand it is not much different to the common mantra why don’t you just use systemd?…
The answer to this is init-choice matters & antiX has chosen to offer init-choice & init-freedom in the best possible way with this multi-init system.
