(…) my preferred init program (…) is runit (and as an alternative for further testing, I’m thinking of dinit).
I had already noticed that dinit boots much the fastest and uses less RAM on my boxes.
Since then, I have never had a crash (as I can remember) and dinit quickly became the init I use the most. For the minimal use I make, it’s fine.
I usually run frugal with disable=lx boot parameter, but TBH, I had done the init(s) comparison on the installed system and in a hurry, without taking into account how many services were activated for each one. I’m not sure if I had set the minimal-icewm Desktop (so that a plenty of services *should* have been disabled in any case). I think I have to repeat the comparison as soon as possible.
