I have performed this latest upgrade of antiX XLibre and currently typing this note from this latest and greatest. Extensive tests will follow on a variety of laptops as it seems this most advanced image solidifies as the new model of antiX for me.
Just want to update on testing results:
– Testing performed on laptops with Intel, nVidia and AMD GPUs, and including three different Macbooks. All works nicely, with no issues observed.
– Performance on graphics intensive app Google Earth is excellent, on some laptops way better than with old Xorg.
– A minor artifact previously showing under cursor on two different nVidia laptops is gone now. Very clean and consistent across all my laptops. This was an issue of little significance before, nevertheless worth mentioning it is completely resolved and cursor display on all laptops, regardless of GPU is perfect now.
This new antiX image is promoted to ‘production’ day-to-day status on all my machines, antiX 26 XLibre it is…
