Strange thing. Have never experienced that, independent of whether an antiX- or a a debian-kernel (signed or unsigned) was used, so this issue might be restricted to UEFI hardware, which I don’t have any. Since I have by now merely run the kernel upgrade for antiX 26 on 32 bit, I have no clue still whether it might fail on 64 bit antiX 26 (on 64 bit antiX 23 it does work fine for me) possibly, or whether the debian signed kernel causes the issue, since there are not any debian kernels for 32 bit available in trixie (while in antiX 23 32bit they don’t fail). Will report what I find on 64 bit device (classic BIOS) running on antiX 26, that might help you to figure what the issue for you actually caused. I reckon, some UEFI functionality might play a joke on you here.
