Hello!
Im an old Linux user, started using it a very long time ago, back in Yggdrasil times. I have 10+ years as a Sysadmin working almost exclusively with Linux servers, LTSP, Samba, SUSE Novell, web servers, databases you name it, i worked on it, on Linux.
Personally what always draw me into Linux was its base philosophy that seem forgotten by a lot of current developers. I like that everything is a file, preferably in human readable non-binary format. I love the model where you compartmentalize tasks as small apps with well defined barriers where changing things becomes easy for both developers and users.
My total disdain for Gnome, newer KDE and Systemd make a distribution like antiX a beacon of light in the darkness. Not only does it suits my desktop needs very well, it seem stable and fast.
