I was afraid about the whole “antifa” label, but I can’t find anything political on the forum
Please let me explain. This is more than just a label. It is the “DNA” of antiX, on which all this is based. You’ll not find the anti-facsist and anticapitalist stance of antiX being carried around and presented populist like a monstrance, but you may sense its presence in each single decision which lead and led to what antiX is and stands for. Technical decisions are never merely technical, they always carry a political dimension, even when you won’t guess that usually. Let me explain by an example. Not dropping 32 bit as long we can stem the increasing additional load by any means (consider, behind antiX is a small team, not a huge and wealthy organisation) is a decision for enabling people to everyday use their devices as long as these do function (including repair), which is the true EOL of a device (on contrary to the arbitrarily dictated by enterprises capitalist EOL definition). While the capitalist stance on this is: »You as a consumer are to dump your things as soon we want to increase our sales and return, so you need to buy our stuff constantly (and produce this way piles of unnecessary rubbish, wasting resources). If you don’t obey, we force you into doing so by designing things in a way you can’t keep your stuff working, if we don’t want that.« That is an example of a capitalist DNA, which you can observe in literally all OS made by companies, but surprisingly also in many FOSS projects, there obviously driven by the sheer necessities of the way of life in a capitalist environment.
And then, in the current world, not having an antifascist stance unfortunately means already accepting and thus supporting by giving way the spread of fascism.

You will find if you search the forums carefully. There are some principles: Fascist aggression is not tolerated here nor is fascist propaganda, and will be removed. While you’ll notice we try teaching people what is wrong about fascism, and why a world without fascism is a better world. Another part of the antiX DNA.
