Hi! I based everything I did from the recommendations and pinnings that @Wallon provided on pages 1 through 4 of this thread.
One early suggestion he made, since he also altered several things in /etc/apt was to backup your current /etc/apt before doing this, so that if there are problems you can back out. He also shared which packages to add and remove, recommended pinning changes and more, so if you want to try the version he did with Debian, do that just to be safe; I believe someone else said they tried it on antiX and Debian; @Wallon has shared on the MX Linux forum, so he’s the other one to ask; I say backup as recommended, try it, and if it works, great; if not, revert to the previous setup.
Pretty comprehensive script; I think you have the backup covered too.
