Not only vibe-coding but there are also vibe-lawyers (some get fined not holding up to the standard by not verifying their submission|reply).
I guess the lazy-end-user’s approach is:
It’s easy to use, it gives you some result, it represents a minimal effort to get the job (somewhat) done, let’s try to run with it and if it succeeds, I’ve saved some resources (your time and energy) for other more pleasant things to do.

IMHO, the boom of AI, with the AI-producing companies advertising|promoting it heavily (because of their commercial interest), is like a flood.
It will either wash us away or we pick up the pieces and restore order once it is gone and the situation will normalise.
Concerning wikipedia and similar resources:
One of the workarounds is to block crawlers, close the resources behind protecting tools (Anubis [which can be configured to provide non-javascript solution too, suitable for terminal-based browsers], damn Cloudflare, Anubis and others), restrict number of requests per time (probably combined with a fail2ban tool), enforce use of (free or paid) accounts to access the content…
