Just got back Midessa Tx pre operation where they draw blood and gave me a EKG before scheduled surgery next week.
Got a call my blood platens were too low and anesthesiologist canceled the operation because Blood test showed low platens. So I am delayed till the 27th of this month till I see the urologist again on the 27th. I am tired of this catheter bag up my penis. Slows me down a bunch. I’ll eat a can of sardines before my next blood test.
This has been going on since last year wearing a pee bag. Sheesh I am depressed today with all these delays.
The medical community is covering their keisters in my case. So no changes to report.
A neighbor a few doors down from me went through a similar ordeal a year or two ago, with a catheter bag – seemed like months to me.
When I had my most recent procedure I had a catheter bag too, but it was for at most a week! My urologist cleaned me out well and I’ve not had any issues since then. Prior to that I was passing kidney stones at least once every three years for quite a while. I’m already at or past the three year point with no problems at all now, so I hope the trend continues.
As for you, I hope your provider is, or will be, discussing things you can do to reduce or eliminate future problems. My urologist worked with me until we got a better solution; I’m hoping it continues to work! So far it is working.
