Do you mean you tried “antiX Control Centre -> Session -> Set Screen Blanking” or something else?
If something else, please describe.
I once messed up my configuration of a desktop and it exhibited similar symptomps – it failed to parse the configuration, hence it could not set up and I was sent back to the login screen; I assume the issue is similar.
BTW, do you have enough disk space? If you are running out of it, it could be similar.
Expected steps of repair process – repair|restore the affected configuration file.
Can you log in to other desktops?
If yes, you can proceed from there.
If not, press Ctrl+Alt+Fn (n any of 1 through 6) to get to terminal-based session, from where you could log in and try to correct it using terminal tools if you feel up to it.
Alternately, you could boot from live USB, mount the partition where (your /home of) the installed antiX is located and repair|restore|edit using whatever tools, then unmount and reboot to your system.
EDIT: I have no idea what the affected file is (if not running out of disk-space) and I will be away for several hours; you could also log in to the terminal-based session and create a new user if you are in a hurry.
