I recently tried various times to update the kernel of an antix 26 live system from 6.6 to 6.12+, and each time it would brick the installation; now I know why. The whole time I kept thinking I was the one doing something wrong.
After seeing this thread, I went with the Liquorix kernel (currently at 6.19) and everything went smoothly. Overall it was also good practice for updating the kernel of a live system, since, as has been noted in this thread, the process can be a little bit of a dance.
Incidentally, the live system I’ve created is for gradually building what will be my upgrade from antix 23 to antiX 26 🙂
